The VERMEILLE Coast,
is, 20 km South of Argelès sur mer (110,000 inhabitants), is in the
centre of the triangle formed by the 3 large European cities
of : TOULOUSE - MONTPELLIER - BARCELONE.
It is 1 h 30 mn flight from PARIS or LONDON,
and is accessible by motorway " LA CATALANE " exit
Argelès sur mer-SUD or LE BOULOU, or by direct train from PARIS and
other French cities (station 'ARGELES-SUR-MER).
A privileged climate and a generous nature
encourage more and more Europeans to establish a residence or
to come for their holidays.
As a permanent resident or holiday maker,
there exists a varied range of leisure activities : from water
sports to winter sports, mountain walking and high altitude
mountaineering, visits to the numerous historic monuments (the
Roman art circuit, and also Gothin art, Baroque art …)
and the Palace of the Kings of Majorca.
The authenticity and generosity of the Catalan
people are reflected in established traditions : folkloric (the
sardane and coblas danses), culinary traditions (anchovies from
Collioure, fish "bouillinade", cargolade, delicatessen,
olive oil…), and its wines ( Banyuls, Collioure, Rivesaltes
…table wines and aperitif wines).
